New Code of Conduct for Internet Gaming
In line with the thrust to provide a safe internet gaming venue for online gamblers, more new codes of conduct directed towards responsible gaming and a more defined Internet gaming procedures are being launched.
The launching of the new codes of conduct was spearheaded by leading regulatory agencies such as the eCommerce Online Gaming Regulation Assurance (eCOGRA),GamCare and Remote Gambling Association (RGA) in their desire to provide minimum standards for Internet gaming that is geared to protect online gamblers and the online gambling industry in general.
Included on the new internet gaming conduct codes is protective measure against underage gambling which was weakly addressed before. Also measures towards online player protection are further strengthened. Improved promotion and advertising regulations are also pursued while effective communication between the Internet gaming operators and their customer are encouraged.
The new code on Internet gaming is pushed through in the desire of leading Internet gaming regulatory agencies with the support of Internet gaming software manufacturers such as Microgaming that a standard minimum code for Internet gaming will become more clarified and globally implemented in all Internet gaming operators and with the cooperation of all online gamblers.
The new codes of conduct for Internet gaming encompass the adoption of a new code that will give the online gambling industry and the online gambling population in general a more educated and informed decisions when participating in the online gambling undertakings with the sense of social responsibility.
The code also encourages the global licensure of Internet gaming establishments that will help protect both the online gambling operators and the online players. eCOGRA and other regulating agencies will continue to update and verify the codes of conduct adopted by their members to ensure that online players are protected from fraud, dishonest and unfair online gambling system.
The new code of conduct becomes obligatory to adopt by all members of the iGGBA that operates i-gaming platforms that will uphold standards that ensures a complete Internet gaming entertainment devoid of any problems.
The new Internet gaming conduct of codes address areas involving privacy, social responsibility, jurisdiction, accountability, promotion and trust to the Internet gaming industry. It gives assurance on the safety and quality of services of the Internet gaming industry that is relatively safe to the online gambling population in general.
